Aakrosh is a 2010 Indian drama film and remake of the Telugu film Vedam. Aakrosh thematically revolves around revenge and stars Dimple Kapadia, Arjun Rampal and Suniel Shetty in lead roles. The movie was shelved long after it was shot because of financial losses on previous ventures for its producers. The film finally released on 12 July 2010, with mixed reviews from critics albeit strong word-of-mouth publicity by audiences. The movie was a moderate failure at the box office. Aakrosh is a story of revenge. It revolves around four men, in turn, whose lives are linked to a woman in the form of a beautiful young widow in Lucknow, who is in a state of constant anxiety attached to her daughter's abduction by the villains. The four men are Kailash (Suniel Shetty), Ravi (Arjun Rampal), Abdul (Deepak Dobriyal) and Zoya (Dimple Kapadia). The widow, Mahi (Parineeti Chopra), is from an affluent family from Lucknow who has been living in Delhi for many years now. She has a 10-year-old daughter, Ria (Muhika Verma), whose behavior is similar to that of an adult. Zoya is a simple, innocent and very poor girl with no family, who comes from the village to the city in search of livelihood and ends up working in Mahi's house. Mahi has been living alone with Ria for the past few years and leads her life in constant anxiety about her daughter's safety and security. One day Kailash sees Mahi and Ria in a park when they come there for a party. Mahi is dressed in a very modern style. Her simplicity attracts him. He then tries to pursue her, but when he comes in contact with her, she rejects him in a rather rude manner. Kailash is a very arrogant man who wants to make money in the shortest possible time and be away from this world of filth, crime and poverty. When he tells Mahi about his ambitions of making money, she refuses to marry him because he has no job and no future. She feels that if their relationship goes any further, she will get destroyed emotionally and morally. She has no problem in marrying him, but not for the reasons that she tells. Mahi says that this marriage must be done without any affection and love and should be nothing more than a convenience in the name of money. Kailash, in fact, is in love with her and can't get over her. He feels that she is betraying him when she rejects his proposal because he has no job. Kailash meets Ravi at a dance competition organized by Neha (Huma Qureshi), the friend of his boss, Saajan (Bhagyashree), to whom he is working as an assistant manager of an electronics shop. cfa1e77820
